Dr. Menendez is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and elbow conditions at the University of California Davis Medical Center, located in Sacramento, California.

His clinical expertise is on advanced minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery and reconstructive procedures of the shoulder and elbow. He has specialized training and particular interest in complex total shoulder arthroplasty. Dr. Menendez performed Greater Sacramento’s first robotic-assisted shoulder arthroplasty and is pioneering its use at UC Davis Health. Using this technology, he is directing a program focused on plan fidelity, outlier reduction, and patient-centered results.

Prior to moving to California, Dr. Menendez served as assistant team physician for the Chicago Bulls and Chicago White Sox.
 
He is one of the most widely published shoulder and elbow specialists in the Western United States, with over 270 peer-reviewed manuscripts. His research publications have been cited over 7,700 times to date. He routinely presents his research at national and international meetings.
